Chakotay was born 2329 in South 
America, Earth. He is the son of Kolopak of the Maya Tribe.
He wears a tattoo on his forehead in honour of his father, who wore it also in honour of his father.
Chakotay attended Starfleet Academy in
2344 to 2348. He
resigned his position as Tactical Training Instructor in 2370 to joined the Maquis. Later, he and his crew needed to be rescued by Janeway when their ship was damaged while going through a worm hole type opening that lead to the Delta quadrant. His crew joined Janeway's crew, as her first officer, to help everyone return to Federation space.
Chakotay and his people have 
animal guides to guide them through live. It is impolite to
mention ones animal guide's name, but his is
pictured here. Chakotay offered Captain Janeway assistance in finding her animal guide. He and his people also talk to animals. Click on link to hear why. (Janeway did find her animal guide, however, I do not have a pic of a lizard and you did not read what is was. Just joking.)
Chakotay helped 7 learn about
relationships, as well as help others abosrd the ship with their various stuggles. He also taught them about his people a various opportunities.
Chakotay's people taught that we do
not own land. Rather we live on the land. His name is a gift and he charished it.
Voyager did get back to Federation Space eventually, but Chakotay was a big assistance to many aboard. This page is for Chakotay. A great warrior and first officer of Voyager.
More on Chakotay to come. I'll add a story he told once when I can. It's over 1MB and at this time I can not add it to my files. If there is enough interest I'll see what I can do about loading it elsewhere and linking to it. For now, I leave you withfortune in your steps and peace in your hearts.
