Alone?
How can I convince you?
You are not alone
We may disagree
But I’m here for you
I can’t imagine why you feel alone
We’ve had our disagreements before
Yet I see emptiness in your eyes
When you say you are truly alone
You withdraw eventually
The withdrawal starts soon after
The crew can’t see it start, but I do
And that statement alone
Gives me a foreshadowing
Of what is yet to come
Eventually you’ll lock yourself in your Ready Room
And no one sees you for days.
Please believe me when I say
You’re not alone, Kathryn.
