Scorpion Drabble

“Then I guess I'm
alone, after all.”
The loneliness set in like a brick.
He couldn’t support my decision.
If I didn’t have Chakotay,
I had no one.
Without him, I truly was alone.
I had to have his support.
I needed his support.
Without it, the feeling of loneliness felt like a lead weight,
Weighing heavily on my body.
I have no one to turn to.
This feeling is so painful.
I think I’ll die,
But I have to continue for the sake of the crew.
So alone.
How do I stay strong with the painful feeling of aloneness?
